Route description:
Our hike begins by following the yellow triangle trail marker. This path runs along the former sledding track. Behind the Lövér Hotel, turn right and soon you will reach the memorial of Endre Muck, known as the "foster father of Sopron’s forests."
Continue your easy hike from the museum entrance by taking the rocky path to the left, marked with a blue triangle.
Note! If you continue on the paved road (also marked with a blue triangle), you'll follow the Witch’s Tale Trail, a themed route leading to the Trianon Memorial Park (approx. 800 meters).
The rocky trail leads toward Dalos Hill, crossing the Dalos Hill ski slope —a perfect spot to admire the view again. On clear days, you can see wind turbines on the northern edge of Lake Fertő, the Braunsberg mountain near Hainburg, and even the Bratislava TV tower with the help of binoculars.
Walking on, you’ll reach the Dalos Stone, where the trail takes a sharp left, still following the blue triangle. Soon you’ll arrive at the Dalos Hill viewing point, where a memorial honors composer Viktor Altdörfer. The trail gently crosses the ski slope again and then descends further along the blue triangle, leading you back to your starting point: the Hotel Lővér bus turnaround.
