Coronation Hill recreation park and observation deck
Sopron has a new park. From March 2022, an 8,400 square metre public park is open to visitors with a magnificent panorama, suitable for family programmes and recreation on Coronation Hill.
A new leisure attraction for the people of Sopron: the public park on Coronation Hill is ready, where children and adults can play, do sports and go on a picnic in a picturesque setting.
Due to a government-funded project, in the area that was previously covered with dense vegetation, walkways were established and street furniture as well as 19 different playthings were installed on rubber surfaces, including a climbing frame, swings and a seesaw. The green space also includes a 20-slot gravel parking area and a 10-slot bicycle storage area. A drinking fountain is located at the entrance.
The opening hours are the followings:
- between March 15 and October 14, every day from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m
- between October 15 and March 14, every day from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m
