Petőháza Sugar Museum

Apart from general knowledge regarding sugar, the Petőháza Sugar Museum also deals with the industrial history of the Sopron Sugar Production District, which for about 50 years used to play a national leading role in the sugar production and export in the vicinity of Sopron county, beyond current borders, on the territory of the Sopron Industrial Chamber. It presents memories and artefacts saved from the last factory of the region, Petőháza, after the total collapse of the sugar industry once thriving in the region.
It provides extensive knowledge about the whole of sugar production, about sugar as a physiologically important food, and about the misconceptions regarding it.

The Sugar Factory is located in the Petőháza Community Center, surrounded by sport facilities, a thermal bath in the summer, a small arboretum walk, a fishpond, open-air fitness equipment. Guests can also visit the nearby Esterházy Palace.
Parking is available next to the building for cars and buses.
