VOLT chairs (from 2013 to present)
Sopron is not only the "city of stars" in the past, but also in the present. Autographed chairs of superstars visiting Sopron in connection with the VOLT festival can be found in several parts of the town.
The VOLT festival in Sopron has been a decisive event of the town's musical and cultural life for 27 years. At the initiative of the organizers and the city council, chairs made by István ef Zámbó have been placed in several parts of the town every year since 2013, within the framework of the “Sopron, the City of Stars” project. There are chairs at the GYSEV railway station, Deák Square, in the garden of Deák restaurant, in front of the Liszt Ferenc Cultural Centre and the Ady Endre street College of the University of Sopron.
In recent years, the chairs of Chester Bennington (Linkin Park) and Depeche Mode have been placed on Széchenyi Square, on the terrace of the Dömötör confectionery.
