Steigler cellar
Steigler Cellar is located in the heart of Sopron's poncichter district, on Balfi Road, on the edge of the city center. The cellar system, which bears all the local characteristics, was built centuries ago, under the dwelling houses.
Introduction
Who are we? A special terroir, a unique taste, human destinies, millennial traditions and the organic fabric of an unparalleled cellar. A tool in the hands of nature to create quality, organic wines for the pleasure of the people.
Traditions
The soil and microclimate, which cannot be confused with anything, even before Roman times encouraged the people who settled here to plant grapes and make wine. According to written records, the Celts were the first to taste the unmistakable flavors of the Neusiedl landscape.
People
Our winery rests on the shoulders of two charismatic people, Bálint Lőrinczy, owner, and winemaker Tamás Varga, who considers the trinity of naturalness, tradition and quality to be the main guiding principle.
Plantation
Steigler Cellar produces the raw material for its high-quality wines on its own 21-hectare, organically grown plantations. The vineyard is located in the vineyards of Steiger, Frettner and Spern Steiner, in the best areas of the Sopron wine region.
