Holocaust memorial
The memorial is located near the centre of Sopron in Paprét, on the site of the former Jewish ghetto.
The monument, erected in 2004, pays homage to the memory of the nearly two thousand Jews deported from Sopron, in the immediate vicinity of the Orthodox synagogue designed by János Schiller in 1891. The monument with a special atmosphere symbolizes the undressing room in front of the gas chambers, its creator is sculptor and medalist László Kutas.
