Botanical garden trail

In 2021, under a bilateral Slovakian-Hungarian Interreg project, a 16-panel educational trail was set up in the Botanical Garden, covering the main topics of the university's forestry and timber industry majors in easy-to-understand and enjoyable language.

For each topic, we summarised the main concepts of the given field in a clear and interesting way, and also included some interesting and exciting facts about the topic, with lots of colourful and spectacular pictures. We made the boards interactive by placing a template in the corner of each board, which the children can draw around, and for each template, they have to solve an interesting task related to the topic on the board, based on what they have learned.

The trail starts from the Székelykapu in the lower garden, with 4 panels along the winding footpaths of the lower Botanical garden and 12 panels along the paved path in the upper garden. See MAP

The main target audience is primary school children, but we recommend it to young and old alike.

The educational trail is open to the public during the opening hours of the botanical garden: from 8.00 to 20.00 in summer and from 8.00 to 16.00 in winter
