Do you know The Four Seasons by Vivaldi? Of course, who doesn't?! But have you ever heard the entire piece in one sitting? And did you know that someone – possibly Vivaldi himself – wrote sonnets for each season, which the composer even inscribed into the score? In this case, we can discover exactly "what the poet meant." But how do the four-stanza sonnets fit into the three-movement concertos? What does a barking shepherd dog sound like in a Baroque orchestra? And why did the Venetian Vivaldi think not of sunshine when it came to the Italian summer, but rather of the anxiety caused by approaching storms?So many questions will be answered at the Anima Musicae concert, as The Four Seasons violin concerto cycle will be performed this time with the help of a moderator.
